Beijing Center for the Arts is situated in the central area of the ancient inner city of Beijing. It is dedicated to bringing the mainstream the experimental and innovative spirit of contemporary art, and encouraging communication and exchange between art and the public. Since 2008, BCA has presented an array of major contemporary art exhibitions, including Where Are We?, Beyond Reminiscence, Gu Dexin: 2009.3.14, Li Huayi: Beyond Representation, Lin Tianmiao: The Same, and Yan Pei-Ming: Dead and Alive which kicked starting of BCA's newly opened space along the Jade River bank. Behind these efforts lies its committment of exploring the nature of art and nurturing the soil that rooted contemporary Chinese art.
